Substance Abuse Evaluations

Our substance use evaluations are conducted virtually via Zoom and consist of two parts. Once the client schedules and pays for the appointment, we send them the SASSI assessment, which is required for all evaluations. This assessment helps identify the need for substance use treatment.

What sets us apart from other agencies is our thorough, personalized approach. After completing the SASSI, we meet with the client to review the results and gather detailed information about the client’s substance use history. Our goal is to recommend the most appropriate treatment based on the evaluation findings. In many cases, treatment is not recommended if the client has no relevant history of substance abuse.

In contrast, many lower-cost agencies simply send the SASSI, and once completed, forward it directly to the probation officer, often resulting in unnecessary class requirements, even if the client doesn’t need them. We take the time to carefully assess each client’s unique needs.

If a client requires Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or Supportive Outpatient Program (SOP) treatment and chooses to enroll with us, we will deduct the price of the evaluation fee from the cost of the court-ordered treatment.

Scheduling Process:

1. Select your desired time slot through the website.
2. A SASSI screening will be emailed to you within 24 hours of scheduling. This screening must be completed before your evaluation unless other arrangements are made with our agency.

Important Policies:

• Rescheduling: To avoid a $40.00 rescheduling fee, please reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.
• No-Shows: Failing to attend your appointment without notice will result in forfeiture of your evaluation fee.
